Mining Engineer - Production
- Start-up/ramp up of a promising new WA gold mine
- Open Pit role with the potential to gain underground experience
- FIFO 8/6 with an attractive salary package + bonus
In this role you will provide key technical direction and contribute to the start-up of the mining operation. You will be joining a Principal Mining Company across their small operational team, you will be back-to-back with a Senior Mining Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement daily and weekly plans ensuring production targets are met
- Monitor daily production progress, optimizing and recording key activities
- Maintain engineering processes and ensure compliance with operational procedures
- Provide technical expertise in production schedule activities
- Assist in the Implementation of efficient pit designs, dump designs, and bench plans to maximize ore recovery
- Support the open-pit production team with technical advice to meet mining targets
- Assist in preparing monthly and statutory reports
- Use your expertise to improve mining activities, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvements, and value creation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent (essential)
- Experience as a Production Mining Engineer
- Experience in hard-rock Open-Pit mines - gold preferable
- Solid knowledge of mining techniques, equipment, and principles
- Proficiency in various software programs
- A strong commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.
