About the role
Our client, a premier producer of the gold mining industry, is looking for an experienced HSSET Manager to join their team with this exciting managerial role in Kalgoorlie, WA, to start immediately.

Key responsibilities include: 
  • Ensure a firm commitment to the company’s health and safety policies
  • Refining and developing safety management systems
  • Training management systems and coordination site wide
  • Champion health and safety initiatives and programs to provide support and guidance for various stakeholders, staff, contractors and management
  • Major project planning and health and safety readiness plans
  • Follow the company’s Environmental Policy and procedures, ensuring responsible environmental management and compliance with all approvals, licences, and regulations.

About you:
  • Extensive HSSET experience in the resources sector, covering open pit, underground, and processing operations
  • Experience leading teams across health, hygiene, medical and emergency response personnel
  • Incident investigation, risk assessing and Lead Auditor experience
  • High level of demonstrated understanding around relevant OHS legislation and safety standards mining in WA
  • Contruction and commissioning of new plants and facilities
  • Experienced in creating training needs analysis, management systems and implementation.
