OHS Advisor
- Competitive hourly rate of $80 plus Super
- FIFO 8/6 roster from Perth
- Potential for a permanent position after the 6 month contract based on performance
A leading mining company is seeking a dedicated and experienced OHS Advisor to join their team on a FIFO 8/6 roster to assist with lifting the safety performance and offer critical leadership in the field around these goals. This role is vital in enhancing their safety presence on site, focusing on ongoing reductions in Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (TRIFR), and engaging with various work groups to ensure the highest standards of safety are maintained.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure OHS Management System compliance, assist with audits, and drive continuous improvement efforts
- Prepare and distribute quality health and safety information reports, bulletins and memoranda
- Facilitate site inductions, OHS meetings and site OHS presentations to employees
- Manage and maintain currency of relevant standards and operating procedures
- Lead and facilitate incident investigations, risk assessments and critical risk management processes
- Conduct audits and inspections ensuring compliance with Site and Department standards
About you:
- Diploma or Degree in OH&S
- Demonstrated understanding & application of relevant legislation
- Experience with conducting Incident Investigations, preferably ICAM Methodology and Formal Risk Assessments
- Training and Assessment TAE40116 certificate would be advantageous
- Competent communicator to influence safety outcomes
- Experience in underground mining or heavy industry at Senior level.
