Charge Up Operator
MPI has been engaged by our leading owner/operator client to provide Underground Charge Up Operators for a gold mine in the Northern Territory on a 2/2 roster.
You will be responsible for charging development headings and production stopes, handling and transporting explosive materials in a safe manner, and assisting in other areas as required.
The position is offered on a minimum 6-month contract initially with the potential to go permanent with the client. Pay rate is negotiable dependant on experience with FIFO from Perth, Darwin and Brisbane on offer.
To be considered you must have the following:
Unfortunately, we are only able to consider people with appropriate and relevant experience, and who are either Australian Permanent Residents or have the necessary permits to work in Australia.

To be considered you must have the following:
- Minimum 12 months production charge up experience, charging down holes with up hole experience highly regarded using emulsion
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Current Shot Firer's licence is preferred but not essential
- Dangerous Goods and Working at Heights tickets are preferred
- Current and valid C-class driver's licence
- The ability to provide pre-employment checks such as a National Police clearance and medical checks.
