A singular opportunity with one of the world’s most successful gold mining companies has come about with a Senior Environmental Advisor role, covering their Kalgoorlie/boulder operations and contributing significantly to its continued success. This Kalgoorlie residential position features a 5/2 4/3 roster that offers a kinder work life balance and would suit a career driven professional who aims to work with an Internationally recognised stalwart of the industry.

Key responsibilities include:

Exceptional understanding of all issue relating to compliance and regulation, guiding the company mine activity and processing requirements promptly and effectively
Competent and dynamic approvals expert across an extensive range of requirements around proposals, closure plans, licences and others
Act in leadership with regards to team building, incident investigation, strategy and team goals and outcomes
Excellent communication skills with regards to stakeholder engagement and community, teams, landholders and senior management.

To succeed in this role the successful candidate will be a flexible and adaptable team-player who can collaborate across teams who can dynamically respond to a changing work environment and priorities.

Other key requirements include:

Substantial mining experience ideally around gold mining, with senior environment experience highly desirable
Relevant tertiary qualifications in environment – related field
Environment, mining and heritage experience and knowledge around approvals and compliance legislation
Environmental management systems, GIS, Power BI and SharePoint preferred.
