A singular opportunity with one of the world’s most successful gold mining companies has come about with a Senior Environmental Advisor role, covering their Kalgoorlie/boulder operations and contributing significantly to its continued success. This Kalgoorlie residential position features a 5/2 4/3 roster that offers a kinder work life balance and would suit a career driven professional who aims to work with an Internationally recognised stalwart of the industry.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Exceptional understanding of all issue relating to compliance and regulation, guiding the company mine activity and processing requirements promptly and effectively
  • Competent and dynamic approvals expert across an extensive range of requirements around proposals, closure plans, licences and others
  • Act in leadership with regards to team building, incident investigation, strategy and team goals and outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills with regards to stakeholder engagement and community, teams, landholders and senior management.
To succeed in this role the successful candidate will be a flexible and adaptable team-player who can collaborate across teams who can dynamically respond to a changing work environment and priorities.

Other key requirements include:
  • Substantial mining experience ideally around gold mining, with senior environment experience highly desirable
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in environment – related field
  • Environment, mining and heritage experience and knowledge around approvals and compliance legislation
  • Environmental management systems, GIS, Power BI and SharePoint preferred.
