MPI have partnered with a well-funded gold explorer and emerging developer and are now searching for a strategic and technically strong General Manager of Exploration & Geology to drive discovery, resource growth, and geological excellence across their high-potential tenement portfolio.

The Role
As General Manager of Exploration & Geology, you will be responsible for leading all exploration and geology functions, from greenfields discovery through to resource development and technical input into feasibility studies. This role will have a seat at the leadership table, reporting directly to the Managing Director and playing a key role in shaping the company's growth strategy.
- Develop and execute the company’s exploration and geological strategy across all projects.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing geology team and external consultants, including mining, geotechnical and metallurgy.
- Oversee drill program planning, execution, QA/QC, and resource estimation.
- Provide technical guidance on project development, JORC reporting, and feasibility studies.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on growth, JV, and acquisition opportunities.
- Represent the company to stakeholders, investors, and the broader industry.
- Proven leadership in exploration and resource geology within the Australian gold sector.
- Tertiary qualifications in geology and experience managing JORC-compliant exploration programs.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to align geology with commercial outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working in ASX-listed or junior mining environments preferred.
