Most Project Geologist roles keep you busy. This one is designed to help you grow.
If you're looking for more ownership, greater influence over exploration outcomes and a genuine pathway into senior leadership, this opportunity is worth a closer look.
You'll join a growing exploration team that is expanding following significant drilling success and ongoing project growth. Rather than being confined to a single campaign, you'll gain exposure across Greenfields exploration, brownfields targets and resource growth drilling, with responsibility for multiple programs at varying stages of advancement.
Reporting directly to the Exploration Manager, you'll be trusted to make decisions, lead field activities and take ownership of exploration programs. This role combines hands-on field leadership with regular office exposure, giving you the opportunity to strengthen your technical, project management and leadership capabilities while working closely with an experienced exploration team.
You'll be stepping into an environment where initiative is valued. The team is looking for someone who can think critically, adapt to changing priorities and contribute solutions rather than simply execute tasks. As the company continues to grow, this role is expected to evolve with increasing responsibility across planning, budgeting, technical leadership and project delivery.
This opportunity suits geologists who want more than drill program execution. It is ideal for someone looking to build their leadership capability while maintaining strong technical involvement in exploration.
The company behind this opportunity has already achieved significant exploration success and is focused on expanding and advancing its gold project portfolio. Continued drilling, resource growth and new target generation are creating long-term opportunities for the exploration team. The leadership group includes highly respected geologists and mining professionals with proven track records in exploration success, resource growth and value creation within Western Australia's gold sector.
We're particularly interested in geologists who bring:
- A Degree in Geology (honours preferred)
- 5 to 7 years' exploration experience, ideally within WA gold systems
- Strong experience managing RC and DD drilling programs
- Exposure to structural geology, geological interpretation and drill targeting
- Experience coordinating drilling contractors and field programs
- Experience with geological modelling, GIS and exploration databases
- Working knowledge of Leapfrog, QGIS and Micromine
- Strong data management, QAQC and reporting skills
- A practical, hands-on approach and the confidence to work autonomously
- A current manual driver's licence.
If you're ready for a role that offers genuine career progression, technical variety and a clear pathway towards future leadership responsibilities, we'd like to hear from you.
