Ready to build something, not just manage it?
For experienced geology leaders, opportunities to genuinely shape a department are few and far between. This is one of them.
FIFO 15:13 into the Northern Territory, this opportunity will see you lead the geology function for a growing gold operation entering an exciting phase of development. With active open pit production and underground portals coming online, you'll have the opportunity to influence geological strategy across multiple mining fronts while supporting the continued growth of the operation.
Reporting into site leadership, you'll provide direction across grade control, geological modelling, reconciliation, orebody knowledge and technical governance. You'll be responsible for setting standards, driving performance and ensuring geology remains a key contributor to operational success.
This role is about more than technical oversight. You'll be instrumental in building capability within the team, mentoring geologists at various stages of their careers and creating an environment where people can develop and perform at their best. As the geology function continues to evolve, you'll have the autonomy to strengthen systems, improve workflows and implement initiatives that deliver lasting value.
You'll work closely with mining, technical services and operational stakeholders, ensuring geological insights support informed decision-making and improved mining outcomes. The combination of operational responsibility, leadership opportunity and growth potential makes this an attractive role for someone looking to leave a meaningful professional legacy.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor of Geology, Earth Sciences or related discipline
- 10+ years' mining geology experience, including both open pit and underground operations
- Demonstrated leadership of geology teams and contractors
- Strong expertise in geological modelling, grade control and reconciliation
- Advanced proficiency in Leapfrog, Deswik and geological database systems.
