The role:
- Take a hand on approach and lead and mentor a team of tradespeople, ensuring high standards of workmanship and team collaboration
- Perform preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and unplanned repairs on Hitachi, Komatsu, and Caterpillar mining equipment
- Provide technical expertise in hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems for mining equipment
- Work closely with maintenance supervisors to coordinate scheduled maintenance and repair activities
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with OEM standards, work management procedures and regulatory mining regulations
- Foster a safety-first culture by promoting best practices, ensuring compliance with safety policies, and leading by example
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency and equipment reliability.
- Relevant Trade Qualification
- Extensive experience working on Hitachi Komatsu Caterpillar equipment
- Proven ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems in a mining environment
- Ability to work flexibly in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Understanding of WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations and commitment to high safety standards
- Additional qualifications such as Working at Heights, Confined Space, Forklift, EWP, Rigging & Dogging tickets will be highly regarded.
