Charge Up Operator
MPI has been engaged by one of our key owner/operator clients to provide Underground Charge Up Operators for a gold mine based in the Eastern Goldfields region of WA.
Reporting to the Underground Supervisor, you will be responsible for charging both development and production blasts, transport, maintaining underground firing lines, handling of explosives, and carrying out shot firing duties.
This position is offered on an initial 6-month contract with the potential to sign over permanent with our client for suitable candidates. The roster is 8/6/7/7 and pay rate for this role is $65 p/h.
To be considered you must have the following:
- Have vast proven experience in underground operations in a previous charge up role
- Experience with the use of emulsion in blasting is preferred
- An extensive record in safe underground mining practices
- The ability to under-go and pass a pre-employment medical
- Hold a current National Police Clearance within 6 months
- A Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights ticket is required
- A valid manual C-Class driver's license and shot firing license is essential.
Unfortunately, we are only able to consider people with appropriate and relevant experience, and who are either Australian Permanent Residents or have the necessary permits to work in Australia.
