About the role:
As the Senior Ventilation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the mine’s ventilation systems to ensure regulatory compliance and the health and safety of all underground personnel.
Key responsibilities:
- FIFO 8/6 or 4/3 | Perth-based point of hire
- Tier-1 gold mining operation
- Senior level | Strong site and technical exposure
About the role:
As the Senior Ventilation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the mine’s ventilation systems to ensure regulatory compliance and the health and safety of all underground personnel.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and maintain effective underground ventilation systems
- Conduct regular ventilation surveys and data analysis
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and industry best practices
- Provide technical ventilation support and mentoring to junior staff
- Liaise with operations, planning, and safety teams to ensure integration of ventilation plans
- Prepare reports and submissions for regulatory bodies as required.
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience in a ventilation engineering role in an underground mining environment
- Sound understanding of WA mining legislation and ventilation standards
- Proficiency in ventilation modelling software (e.g., Ventsim)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
