Magazine Keeper

MPI have partnered with a key client to appoint Magazine Keepers to a well-established mine in Western Australia.

8/6 7/7 roster
Temp to permanent role after 6 months
Competitive pay $55 per hour.

About the role:

Always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance of GFA and ensures that the Vital Behaviours are adhered to at all times
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to the storage, transport and use of explosives. Including but not limited to: maintenance of records, security of explosives products, stock on hand and reconciliation of usage
Undertake audits and ensure compliance with the sites explosives management plan and external statutory requirements relating to explosives management and use
Ensure goal achievement by working collaboratively with the mining team, technical team, onsite contractors and external suppliers to ensure the availability, security and safe use of all explosive products
Interaction with shift supervisors, charge up operators, explosives delivery and other operational personnel to plan the shift and ensure conflicting requirements are managed and all operational requirements are met.

About you:

Minimum 6 months experience as a magazine keeper in surface or underground operation
Dangerous Goods and Working at Heights ticket is required
Valid manual drivers’ licence is essential.
