Long Hole Driller

MPI are seeking multiple Long Hole Drillers to work with one of our clients in Western Australia. These roles are offered on a long-term permanent basis with an established owner operator.

About the role:
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of long hole drills in an underground production environment.

Key responsibilities:
  • Operation long hole drilling equipment
  • Collaboration with engineers and surveyors
  • Reading and accurately following mine instruction plans with skill and precision ensuring holes are drilled to design line, gradient and profile
  • Accurately drilling production holes (64mm up-holes)
  • Occasional drilling of service holes
  • Conduct daily pre-start checks and regular maintenance of equipment
  • Setting up and troubleshooting on long hole drill rigs.
How to apply and be successful:
  • Must have underground experience with a minimum of 12 months on the long hole drill
  • Ability to obtain a national police check
  • A valid driver's licence and relevant qualifications
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical
  • You must have the right to live and work in Australia.
