Underground Drill Fitter

Permanent roles from the onset
8/6 roster FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton
Join a fantastic gold project as it transitions to an Owner/Operator model

MPI has partnered with Vault Minerals to appoint Underground Drill Fitters to their Deflector gold mine. Assisting with their transition to an owner-operator model, these roles with be offered on a permanent full-time basis.

About the role:

Perform maintenance, repairs, fault diagnosis, and servicing of underground drill rigs and associated mining equipment
Service and maintain Sandvik DD421, DD420, DL431, DL331
Conduct breakdown repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
Carry out component change-outs and rebuilds according to OEM specifications
Liaise with supervisors and other trades to coordinate maintenance activities.

About you: 

You will possess a strong collaborative approach to work as well as being detailed focused and have a strong focus on outcomes & results
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
We are also looking for people that are committed to getting the task completed and having the right attitude
Punctuality along with a great can-do attitude is a must.

Key requirements: 

Trade qualified Heavy-Diesel Fitter
2+ years post trade experience working in an underground mining environment
Familiar with diagnostic tools and software (ET, SIS, SCU)
Current C-class driver’s licence
Hold a current national police clearance.
