About the role:
In your new role as Safety Advisor, you will join a dynamic junior mining company focused on iron ore operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Key responsibilities:
  • Promote proactive safety culture across site teams and contractors
  • Implement and ensure compliance with site HSE Management System and regulations
  • Conduct inspections, risk assessments, observations, and incident investigations
  • Develop and review JHAs, SWMS, SOPs; support safety meetings, training, and inductions
  • Maintain reporting systems, records, and HSE reports; identify performance improvements.
About you:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Advisor in open-pit mining operations
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS)
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment (highly desirable)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 and applicable Western Australian standards
  • Advanced communication, report writing, and proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid Western Australian C class driver’s licence.
