In your new role as Safety Advisor, you will join a dynamic junior mining company focused on iron ore operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Key responsibilities:
- Promote proactive safety culture across site teams and contractors
- Implement and ensure compliance with site HSE Management System and regulations
- Conduct inspections, risk assessments, observations, and incident investigations
- Develop and review JHAs, SWMS, SOPs; support safety meetings, training, and inductions
- Maintain reporting systems, records, and HSE reports; identify performance improvements.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Advisor in open-pit mining operations
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS)
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment (highly desirable)
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 and applicable Western Australian standards
- Advanced communication, report writing, and proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Western Australian C class driver’s licence.
