Senior Mining Engineer

We are partnering with growing WA gold producer to recruit a Senior Mining Engineer for their project within WA Goldfields on an 8/6 FIFO roster.

Reporting to the Mining Manager, you will responsible for:

Ensure strict adherence to relevant legislation, statutory obligations and company safety standards
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all personnel maintain a safe working environment
Ensure daily workplace inspections are completed by competent personnel, with prompt corrective actions taken
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
Lead mine design and scheduling for production and development activities in line with budget and LOM plans
Ensure geological information is accurately incorporated into practical designs
Drive mine planning outputs that maximise tonnes and grade without compromising safety or compliance
Support development and execution of rolling 3-month mining plans
Maintain overall operational direction of the underground mining process in alignment with organisational goals
Support and operational capability and performance through effective supervision
Monitor contractor performance against quarterly and annual KPIs
Ensure production targets (tonnage and grade) are achieved while managing costs in line with the approved budget
Supervise underground personnel and contractors to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality work
Opportunity to act as the Alternate Underground Manager when required, if qualified.

Key requirements:

Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
Minimum 5-7 years WA Underground mining engineering experience
First Class Mining Certificate would be desirable, but not mandatory
Extensive production, planning and scheduling experience
Strong communication skills.
