Core Logging Geologist

  • 8/6 FIFO ex Perth
  • 3-month contract
  • January 2026 start
If you want a role where your logging work genuinely influences geological decisions, this contract will give you that impact from day one. You will support an underground drilling program where the accuracy of your data directly shapes modelling, planning, and day to day interpretation.

This is ideal if you enjoy hands-on core work, like seeing the immediate value of what you produce, and want a focused contract to kick off 2026.

What you will be doing and why it matters:
  • Logging diamond core to produce the geological information that guides modelling and resource understanding
  • Tracking drilling progress to support safe and efficient underground operations
  • Making end of hole calls to help maintain productivity and cost control
  • Validating data to ensure the geological dataset remains clean, reliable and ready for interpretation
  • Working closely with drillers and the geology team to keep decisions moving quickly and confidently.
What you will bring:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Geology
  • Minimum 2 years core logging experience
  • Confidence working in active and high volume core environments
  • WA gold experience is highly regarded
  • A WA manual driver’s licence
  • A current national police clearance.
