Our client is an Australian mining company developing rare earth elements essential for clean energy technologies, committed to delivering for community and advancing a sustainable future.

About the role:
A Western Australia-based mining company is moving forward with its critical minerals project, creating a Health Safety and Environment Advisor role – a unique chance to help strengthen the site's HSE setup during development and ramp-up.

The project, in WA’s East Kimberley region, is heading toward production of minerals key to clean energy tech.
You'll help build strong health, safety, and environmental systems, training, compliance, and safety culture for safe and lasting operations.

Other key responsibilities include:
  • Provide daily HS&E advice to leaders and teams
  • Facilitate risk assessments, verify critical controls, conduct inspections
  • Coordinate incident reporting and support ICAM investigations
  • Perform HS&E audits, inspections, and verifications
  • Deliver HSE training, inductions and assessments
  • Manage contractor HSE onboarding, audits, and compliance
  • Maintain and improve environmental performance by supporting site activities to meet regulatory and corporate obligations
  • Conduct monitoring and compliance inspections, manage databases securely.
About you:
  • At least five years' experience in mining, construction, or operational settings
  • Solid understanding of relevant environmental and WHS laws
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science or equivalent
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Lead ICAM Investigator.
