Senior Exploration Geologist
Ready to lead major drilling programs and shape exploration strategy, not just execute it?
This is an opportunity to step into a permanent Senior Exploration Geologist role on a well-established, well-funded exploration program with a clear pathway beyond short-term campaigns.
You’ll lead RC and Diamond drilling programs end-to-end, so you can directly influence technical decisions from day one – from drill planning and execution through to data quality, interpretation and reporting. With ownership of field standards and workflows, your work feeds straight into exploration strategy rather than sitting downstream of it.
You’ll work within a structured, experienced field team each swing, so you can focus on geology and leadership rather than firefighting logistics. By mentoring Exploration Geologists and Field Assistants and working closely with the Field Supervisor and senior site leadership, you’ll help lift technical standards across the program while delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes.
This is a long-life exploration program backed by committed funding and long-term development intent, so you’re stepping into stability with genuine career runway. For the right person, this role offers progression into broader technical leadership and increased strategic influence as the program continues to advance.
Operating on a 15/13 FIFO roster, the role balances meaningful time on site with proper downtime off roster.

About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Geology
- Demonstrated experience in a Senior Exploration Geologist role
- Strong background across RC and Diamond Drilling programs
- Proven leadership or mentoring experience within exploration teams
- Comfortable working in a remote, hands-on exploration environment.
