Field Assistant
Looking to lock in a full exploration season and be part of a well-run drilling program with consistent work and a supportive team?
We’re building out a large field crew for a long-term exploration campaign running from mid-February through September, and we’re keen to hear from Field Assistants who can commit for the full season.
This is a hands-on field role where you’ll work closely with geologists and supervisors across RC and Diamond drilling programs, supporting day-to-day operations and contributing directly to the success of the program. Reliability, a strong work ethic, and a safety-first approach are key, as this is a program that values consistency and teamwork across the entire campaign.
Each swing is structured and well supported, typically made up of a Senior Exploration Geologist, Exploration Geologists, a Field Supervisor, and a team of Field Assistants, creating a collaborative and efficient working environment.
In this role you’ll assist with RC and Diamond drilling operations, including core handling, sampling, and general field duties, while supporting geologists and supervisors on site and maintaining safe work practices and camp standards. This is a physically active, outdoor role suited to people who enjoy field-based work and being part of a tight-knit exploration crew.
About you:
If you’re keen to secure a full season of field work within a well-supported exploration team, we’d welcome your application.
Unfortunately, MPI are only able to consider people with appropriate and relevant experience, and who are either Australian Permanent Residents or have the necessary permits to work in Australia and whom are currently in Australia.
