Field Technician
If you’re an experienced Field Technician who enjoys being properly embedded in an exploration program (not just bouncing between short campaigns), this is worth a look.
We’re supporting a well-established exploration team working across WA’s southern Goldfields and Esperance region, with active programs around Forrestania and Ravensthorpe. The project is well funded and moving forward with purpose, so there’s consistent work on the ground and a clear pathway for the right people to move from contract into a permanent role.
The work itself is exactly what you’d expect in a busy exploration environment. You’ll be hands-on across RC and Diamond drilling, supporting daily sampling in the field and in the core yard, maintaining sampling standards, and working closely with geologists and drill crews to keep programs running smoothly and safely. This is a role for someone who is already comfortable with exploration workflows and understands the importance of accuracy, pace, and consistency. Previous exploration RC and DD experience is essential.
You’ll be joining a practical, experienced site team where people pull their weight and look out for each other. The roster is 8/6, FIFO ex Perth, offering a solid balance between time on site and time at home. The broader program has genuine momentum as it progresses toward its next phase of development.
To be considered, you’ll need:
Unfortunately, MPI are only able to consider people with appropriate and relevant experience, and who are either Australian Permanent Residents or have the necessary permits to work in Australia and whom are currently in Australia.
