MPI has partnered with an established and well-funded gold and copper company advancing an active exploration and development project with clear pathways to production in Western Australia’s southern goldfields. With multiple rigs mobilising and a strong pipeline of drilling ahead, this is a permanent opportunity for an experienced Project Exploration Geologist to take ownership of key exploration programs and contribute directly to a high-growth resource story.

This role suits a capable, exploration geologist with proven project level experience, who enjoys being site-based, delivering drilling programs end-to-end, and working closely with senior technical leadership in an environment that supports long-term development and progression.

8/6 FIFO roster ex Perth
Majority site-based, with some Perth office requirements

About the role:
Reporting to the Exploration Manager and Senior Exploration Geologist, you will be responsible for the delivery of day-to-day exploration activities across near-mine and regional targets. You’ll take ownership of drilling programs in the field while contributing to interpretation, targeting, and ongoing project planning.

As the project continues to advance and drilling programs expand, this role offers a clear opportunity to grow in scope and responsibility within the technical team.

Responsibilities:

Deliver RC and diamond drilling programs across multiple deposits
Oversee logging, sampling, QA/QC, and geological data management
Contribute to geological interpretation, targeting, and model refinement
Work closely with senior geologists to support resource growth and project development
Ensure safe, efficient, and well-organised field operations.

About you:
You’re an experienced Project Exploration Geologist operating comfortably at a project level, with strong technical foundations in gold and copper systems. You’re confident running drilling programs, value data quality and interpretation, and are looking for a role where your contribution is recognised and your technical development is supported.

Requirements:

Proven experience in gold and/or copper exploration
Strong hands-on experience with RC and diamond drilling programs
Solid geological interpretation and data management capability
Comfortable operating autonomously within an established technical framework
Degree in Geology or Earth Science
Manual C class driver’s licence.
