Mine Superintendent
We are pleased to be partnering with a great client of ours to recruit a Mine Superintendent on a FIFO 5/2 roster to oversee mining operations at their project within WA.
Commencing in February, this opportunity is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential to extend. Milestone-based bonuses are also on offer for achieving key project outcomes.
Reporting to the Managing Director, your key responsibilities will include:

Reporting to the Managing Director, your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as client on-site representative and primary interface with the mining contractor
- Overseeing daily open pit mining operations to ensure safe, compliant and efficient execution
- Monitoring contractor performance against scope, schedule, budget and production targets
- Demonstrating strong safety leadership and ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements
- Providing operational reporting, input into mine planning and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting mobilisation, start-up and ramp-up of the operation.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in open pit gold mining operations, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role
- Strong contractor management experience
- A practical, delivery-focused mindset suited to short mine life projects
- Excellent safety leadership and communication skills.
