Project Geologist

If you want a role where your geological skills are genuinely used and recognised, this residential position in regional NSW offers the chance to take ownership of meaningful exploration work while building toward broader responsibility in a well-supported and well-structured environment.

This role gives you space to apply your strengths across detailed mapping, RC and diamond core logging, structural interpretation and supervision of active drill programs on a significant precious metals focused project. You will work closely with experienced technical leaders who value thoughtful, high-quality geology and who give you the autonomy to approach tasks with confidence.

Your work will directly influence drill targeting, modelling inputs and ongoing exploration planning. You will have the opportunity to use or develop Leapfrog skills and contribute to early resource modelling workflows. The environment is steady, respectful and well organised, giving you the time and support to produce strong technical outcomes without unnecessary noise or shifting priorities.

This tends to suit someone who enjoys being hands on, wants clarity in their scope and is motivated by technically engaging hard rock geology that makes a visible difference.

You will be involved in:
  • Detailed field mapping and structural interpretation
  • RC and DD logging with a focus on data quality
  • Supervising drill programs and ensuring QAQC compliance
  • Integrating geological data into Leapfrog
  • Supporting early resource modelling workflows
  • Making practical, informed recommendations for ongoing exploration activities.

You will be joining a stable and well supported exploration business with a strong reputation for technical discipline, open communication and consistent investment in high quality drilling programs. People tend to stay because the culture is respectful, the expectations are clear and geologists are trusted to do their best work.

You will work on structurally complex hard rock geology, giving you the opportunity to deepen your capability in mapping, modelling and interpretation. This is an ideal environment for someone who enjoys technically engaging mineral systems and appreciates opportunities to keep developing without unnecessary barriers.

You will bring:
  • 5 to 10 years' experience, with a background across both exploration and mine geology
  • Experience within precious metals
  • Strong structural mapping and interpretation capability
  • Competent RC and DD logging
  • Experience supervising drilling programs
  • Leapfrog experience or interest in developing it
  • Ability to contribute to resource modelling workflows
  • An understanding of the economic drivers behind exploration and development.
