Laboratory Technician
- 3-month contract
- 8/6 FIFO from Perth (days and nights)
- Commencing asap
These roles have been created to assist with increased plant sampling and diagnostic work following the commissioning of a new leach tank circuit within the processing plant. Successful candidates will work alongside the site metallurgical team and report to the Senior Metallurgists.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct plant sampling across the processing circuit
- Perform sample preparation and laboratory test work
- Carry out bottle roll tests, screen sizing and batch flotation tests
- Assist with on-site laboratory analysis and metallurgical test work
- Potential involvement in routine instrument servicing and maintenance (e.g. cyanide analysers, pH and dissolved oxygen probes).
- Previous laboratory or metallurgical technician experience in a processing plant
- Strong background in plant sampling and laboratory sample preparation
- Experience with metallurgical test work highly regarded
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced gold processing environment.
