Principal Mining Engineer - Studies

The Principal Mining Engineer – Studies is a senior technical leadership role responsible for consolidating and delivering feasibility study outputs across a portfolio of emerging lithium projects. This position plays a critical role in ensuring study outcomes are aligned and presented to a standard suitable for ASX reporting and investor disclosure.

Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the role will provide high-level technical oversight across mining, metallurgy, and project logistics, ensuring robust, defensible, and optimised study outcomes. The position is Perth-based and offers the opportunity to influence the development of strategically significant lithium assets.

Reporting directing to the Managing Director the Key Responsibilities include:
  • Lead the integration and consolidation of feasibility study workflows into ASX-compliant documentation and reporting standards
  • Provide technical oversight and assurance across mining studies
  • Collaborate with consulting teams to ensure cohesive and optimised project outcomes
  • Review and validate study inputs, assumptions, and outputs to ensure technical integrity and commercial robustness
  • Support the delivery of Pre-Feasibility Studies (PFS) and other technical reports
  • Assist with additional technical mining projects as required across the business
  • Operate autonomously while maintaining alignment with corporate strategy and reporting requirements.
Key requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
  • 10–15+ years’ experience within the mining industry
  • Strong background in feasibility studies and technical services, with operational experience highly regarded
  • Demonstrated experience in open pit mining, preferably within lithium or similar commodities
  • High-level understanding of mining operations, metallurgy, and logistics within Western Australia
  • Strong working knowledge of mining software packages (e.g. Leapfrog or equivalent, and Microsoft Suite)
  • Ability to synthesise complex technical information into clear, concise reporting formats
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
