Core Yard Technician

If you’re an experienced Core Yard Technician who prefers clear scope, steady rosters and contract certainty, this role is built to keep you working without unnecessary noise or guesswork.

We’re recruiting experienced Core Yard Technicians to support an established gold operation in Western Australia. This is a 2–3 month contract on an 8:6 FIFO ex‑Perth roster (Tuesday–Tuesday), suited to technicians who are site‑ready and comfortable stepping into an active program.

You’ll be working in a well‑run core yard where your experience is genuinely used. The scope is defined, expectations are clear, and you’ll be supporting ongoing drilling and production activity within established systems.

Day to day, your focus will include:

• Core handling, cutting, sampling and processing
• Core photography, labelling and storage
• Providing practical support to site geologists
• Maintaining sample integrity and yard organisation
• Working in line with site HSE and QA/QC procedures.

The roster provides predictable breaks, and the contract length suits technicians between longer projects or those who prefer short, well‑structured engagements.

This is an operation where core yard standards matter. You’ll be working alongside experienced geology teams, with realistic production expectations and a strong safety culture.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience as a Core Yard Technician in exploration and/or production
• Hands‑on knowledge of core yard workflows and best‑practice sample handling
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
• A current manual Australian driver’s licence
• National police clearance (issued within the last 6 months)
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical and D&A screen
• LF (Forklift) ticket - highly regarded.
