Senior Field Assistant
If you are already operating at a senior field level and want a well-run exploration program where your experience is trusted and relied on, this role offers stability, clear scope, and a realistic longer-term pathway.
This Senior Field Assistant role supports an established and active Pilbara exploration program. You will be stepping into a functioning site with clear priorities, experienced contractors, and practical day to day decision-making.
The focus of the role is supporting drilling and maintaining smooth site operations. It is suited to someone who prefers ownership and continuity rather than short, disjointed contracts.
You will be actively involved in:
The roster is 12/9 FIFO ex Perth to Port Hedland. The initial contract is six months, with genuine potential to continue longer term depending on performance and program requirements.
The company behind this role runs straightforward exploration programs with a strong emphasis on planning, safety, and operational efficiency. Expectations are clear, sites are properly resourced, and field teams are trusted to do their jobs.
You will be working across drilling, earthworks, logistics, and general site and camp operations. The camp is established and comfortable, with air-conditioned rooms, shared bathrooms, cook and cleaner support, and an on-site gym. Conditions are set up to make longer swings sustainable.
This role is well suited to an experienced Senior Field Assistant with five or more years in exploration environments, strong diamond and RC drilling experience, and the confidence to operate independently within a small site team. Previous exploration camp management experience is advantageous.
Key requirements:
MPI can only consider candidates with relevant experience who hold Australian Permanent Residency or valid Australian working rights and are currently based in Australia.
