Junior Exploration Geologist
Build practical RC field experience on an active exploration program.
This is a short-term, hands-on FIFO opportunity for an early‑career geologist who already has RC exposure and wants to strengthen their site capability on live drilling programs.
We’re partnering with an active exploration company delivering RC programs in the Pilbara to bring a Junior Geologist onto site for upcoming fieldwork. This is a two‑month contract with an asap start, suited to someone who can step straight into RC support and contribute from day one.
You’ll be working on a 12/9 FIFO roster from Perth to Port Hedland, supporting exploration activities on site while accommodated at a well‑equipped exploration camp with air‑conditioned rooms, shared facilities, a camp cook/cleaner and a gym. The role is offered on a day rate of $500–$580, depending on experience.
You’ll be part of a small exploration team running focused programs, where junior geologists are involved in the day‑to‑day execution of drilling rather than observing from the sidelines. The environment is practical, site‑based, and geared toward building solid field capability.

- RC chip logging and sample management
- On‑site geological support to drill crews
- Field data collection and daily reporting
- Chip handling and sampling
- General field assistance as programs progress.
This role requires:
- A degree in Geology
- Previous RC drilling support experience
- A manual driver’s licence
- Current national police clearance
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical and D&A
- A reliable, proactive approach to site work.
