OHS Contract Specialist
You won’t need to “manage up” just to get your job done here.
This OHS Contract Specialist role gives you the freedom to build strong working relationships, run contract management reviews, and make sure everything meets WHS Regs consistently and safely. A streamlined and straight forward remit without extra layers of approval.
You will review the Contractor Management System to bring it in line with the latest rules, check contractor procedures and risk assessments against site requirements, keep the contract register current, and ensure all reviews stay on schedule. You will train contract representatives and coach the OHS team on the review process, run audits on the contractor system, and carry out safety engagements with people on both surface and underground.
The 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth with Monday departures gives you real time off instead of short turn arounds. You will step into a clear, stable role with set tasks instead of having to work things out as you go. The pace lets you deliver results without burning out, while still letting you improve safety systems.

This role suits someone with a tertiary qualification in OH&S, Lead Auditor qualifications, and clear experience applying the relevant safety laws. Previous mining experience is highly regarded. You need a valid C class manual driver’s licence. A contract law qualification helps but is not required.
