Health and Safety Advisor
Staying busy isn’t the same as making safety actually work. If you’re done with toxic sites, weak management that ignores your input, or chasing incidents that keep repeating, this WHS Advisor role is built differently.
You will support the WHS Superintendent to keep the project compliant with every statutory, contractual and Safety Management System requirement. No vague policies. You assist in delivering the WHS Strategic and Tactical Plans, meet Annual Planner deliverables, and keep the Safety Management Information System accurate and useful.
You will collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts so safety and training services actually meet operational needs. You support emergency management on site, lead or assist with incident investigations, develop remedial actions, and analyse WHS data to prevent recurrence. Injury management, change management, risk assessments, Critical Control Verifications, workplace inspections and health & hygiene initiatives all sit within your influence.
You conduct infield safety observations and drive visible, practical improvements across the operation. The pace suits professionals who want to use their full skill set without constant firefighting or politics.
This is a serious mining and processing operation with the resources and stability to let you do the job properly. People stay because the systems are clear, leadership backs safety decisions, and your work has immediate credibility and reach across site. You get the tools and the backing to make changes that matter instead of just ticking boxes.
This role fits someone with solid mining or processing WHS experience, proven incident investigation and audit skills, risk management knowledge, and the ability to handle conflict resolution when needed. You hold at least a Certificate IV in WHS and a manual driver’s licence. Additional qualifications such as Lead WHS Investigations, Lead Auditor, or Training & Assessment are valued but not mandatory.
If you are good at safety but tired of environments where it doesn’t stick, this is your chance to join a team that values real compliance and continuous improvement.
Apply now with your resume. We will be in touch promptly to explore whether this aligns with where you want to take your WHS career next.
Unfortunately, MPI Recruitment are only able to consider candidates with appropriate and relevant experience who are Australian Permanent Residents or hold valid Australian working rights.
