OHS Advisor
Staying busy in safety isn’t the same as driving real improvement. This 6-month OHS Advisor role gives you the scope to lead critical safety work without the politics or stalled progress.
This position is built for someone who wants to use their skills and investigation experience where it counts. You will prepare and distribute quality health and safety reports, bulletins and memoranda that people actually read and act on. You will facilitate site inductions, OHS meetings and presentations. You will lead incident investigations, conduct formal risk assessments, and manage critical risk processes.
You will maintain currency of standards and operating procedures, complete compliance audits, and close out non-conformances quickly. You will own the site Chemical Management system and conduct safety engagements both on surface and underground. The operation is established, the expectations are clear, and you will have the authority and resources to do the work properly.
The roster is 8 days on, 6 off, with 12-hour shifts on a FIFO basis from Perth. This delivers genuine work-life separation after each swing. You will step into an existing safety framework rather than building one from scratch, which means you spend your time on high-value safety work instead of constant firefighting.
This suits people who have demonstrated understanding of relevant legislation, Lead Auditor qualifications, and preferably mining experience. A Surface Ventilation Technician qualification is advantageous. You must hold a valid C Class driver’s licence.
The site respects structured safety management and people who deliver consistent, standards-based outcomes. You will work with the resources needed to maintain certification and improve safety performance without ego-driven obstacles or unclear direction.
If you are done navigating under-resourced safety roles or environments where expertise is undervalued, this 6-month coverage role gives you the chance to apply your skills at full capacity with proper recognition of the work.
Apply now with your resume. We will be in touch promptly to discuss whether this aligns with your next step.
Unfortunately, MPI Recruitment are only able to consider candidates with appropriate and relevant experience who are Australian Permanent Residents or hold valid Australian working rights.
