Corporate Finance Analyst

If you’re good at what you do but feel buried in process, hierarchy or waiting your turn for exposure, this role changes that.

This is a boutique corporate finance environment where you’ll step into a true advisory role not just supporting deals, but contributing to them. Sitting between highly experienced leaders and a capable junior team, you’ll gain early responsibility, real client interaction and hands-on mentorship that accelerates your development.

You’ll be joining a lean, high-performing team that values output over politics. The structure allows you to work closely with senior decision-makers, build commercial confidence and see the direct impact of your work. There is flexibility in how you operate, strong trust in capability and a culture that genuinely recognises and rewards performance through an uncapped bonus structure.

This tends to suit someone who wants more ownership, more variety and faster progression than a traditional advisory or Big 4 environment can offer, without compromising on deal quality.

The business itself is well-established within the mining and resources sector, known for delivering quality outcomes and building strong, long-term relationships. People stay because they are trusted, supported and given the opportunity to grow their capability in a commercial and practical way.

You’ll be working across M&A and corporate finance transactions, contributing to financial modelling, investor materials and transactional execution. A strong understanding of the mining lifecycle and commodities is essential.

This role works well for someone who brings:
  • 5+ years’ experience across corporate finance and/or mining
  • Exposure to M&A, financial modelling and Excel
  • Experience preparing pitch decks and investor-facing materials
  • A degree qualification (double degree advantageous but not essential)
  • Confidence to engage commercially and step into client-facing work.
Candidates from boutique advisory, competitors or Big 4 environments looking for greater exposure and improved lifestyle balance will be well suited.

Unfortunately, MPI are only able to consider people with appropriate and relevant experience, and who are either Australian Permanent Residents or have the necessary permits to work in Australia and whom are currently in Australia.
