This tends to suit someone who:
- Likes being hands-on rather than removed from the work
- Can juggle a few things at once without losing their cool
- Knows how to get the best out of a team without needing to push it
- The operation itself is well-established, with a steady workflow and a clear expectation around safety, reliability and teamwork.
To step into it, you’ll need:
- A mechanical trade background
- Solid fixed plant experience within a gold processing environment
- Previous exposure to supervising, or stepping up into that space
- Confidence across crushing, milling, conveyors and slurry systems
- 26 Supervisor qualification
- The ability to fault find properly and make practical calls on the ground
- A steady approach with people — someone the crew respects and listens to.
Unfortunately, MPI are only able to consider people with appropriate and relevant experience, and who are either Australian Permanent Residents or have the necessary permits to work in Australia and whom are currently in Australia.
