Environmental Approvals Officer
Staying busy with approvals is not the same as actually moving a project forward. This role gives you end-to-end ownership of environmental approvals for a gold project moving from PFS into construction and production.
You will lead the preparation and submission of approval documents, coordinate specialist studies, keep the legal obligations register up to date, deal directly with regulators such as EPA and DWER, and help embed practical environmental requirements into day-to-day operations. You will also contribute to mine closure planning. You will be based in the West Perth office with occasional travel to site.
This is a genuinely hands-on role in a fast-moving environment where you will build systems and processes from the ground up. You will work closely with exploration and operational teams to integrate environmental considerations, reduce risks, and keep the project on track. There is minimal bureaucracy and real opportunity to make things happen.
The company is advancing a substantial gold project in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields. You will join at the key stage where strong approvals work directly enables development progress. The culture is pragmatic and delivery-focused.
Essential requirements:
Unfortunately, MPI are only able to consider people with appropriate and relevant experience, and who are either Australian Permanent Residents or have the necessary permits to work in Australia and whom are currently in Australia.
