Planning Engineer
The opportunity:
This role sits within a well-established underground gold operation with strong foundations. You’ll be given early responsibility, supported by a team that will help you build capability and broaden your experience across mine planning.
The work offers enough variety to keep you developing without being overstretched, a rare opportunity to fast-track your capability and realise your career potential.
You’ll be joining a culture that values practical thinking and meaningful contribution, with a strong focus on improving planning efficiency and supporting consistent delivery.
The role:
Reporting to the Senior Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for mine planning across a 3–12 month horizon, with a focus on driving improvements in safety, production and cost performance.
Supported by a strong Technical Services team, this role plays a key part in infrastructure planning, including ventilation, power and pumping requirements. You will also undertake development design work and maintain the site’s cut-off grade strategy.
This position is well suited to a Planning Engineer looking to strengthen their technical capability or diversify their experience. You will gain exposure to financial evaluations supporting mine plan optimisation, as well as contributing to studies, risk assessments and scenario modelling.
Clear pathways for progression are in place, supported by planned growth and ongoing underground development.
Beyond competitive remuneration, this opportunity will position you for a strong and sustainable career trajectory.
