Resource Definition Geologist
If you want steady metres, real ownership on the rig, and clear drilling programs you can execute properly, this one is worth a look.
This contract Resource Definition role is built around near-mine drilling where your experience is actually used. You will supervise RC and diamond rigs day to day, staying close to the work rather than removed from it.
Currently on an 8:6 roster FIFO ex Perth day shift only, there is flexibility for the roster to move to 2:1 with a night shift option in the future. The initial contract would be 3 months, with the view to extend.
You will be working across active WA gold operations with established drilling programs and clear objectives. The focus is execution: safe rigs, clean data, and consistent reporting.
This suits someone comfortable taking ownership of daily rig performance while maintaining clear communication across site. You will be trusted to run your area, support junior staff, and keep data quality consistent.
To be considered, you will bring:
- Degree in Geology or related discipline
- 2+ years drilling experience
- Surface RC and diamond drilling experience, including core and chip logging
- Experience supervising rigs and mentoring graduates and field staff
- Manual driver’s licence and ability to pass medical and D&A.
If this aligns with how you like to work, hands on, clear scope, and consistent drilling, apply now or get in touch for a quick discussion.
Unfortunately, MPI are only able to consider people with appropriate and relevant experience, and who are either Australian Permanent Residents or have the necessary permits to work in Australia and whom are currently in Australia.
