Geology Database Administrator
If you are already working as a Geology Database Administrator but still fixing the same problems twice, this is a chance to take ownership and build systems that work properly.
This role offers real ownership of geological data systems across exploration through to early production. You will join at a transition point where structure, governance and reporting need to lift to support growth.
You will be trusted to lead database development, not just maintain it. That includes improving workflows, strengthening QA and QC processes, and delivering reporting outputs that are utilised and not just reports for reporting’s sake. There is clear support to improve systems properly rather than patch issues.
You will work closely with geology, resource development and operational teams to understand requirements and translate them into practical database and reporting solutions. Power BI is a key part of the role, building dashboards that improve visibility and decision making.
The business is moving from exploration into production, with active operations and regional growth underway. This brings complexity, but also the opportunity to build fit for purpose systems without being restricted by legacy setups.
You will step into a role where your work sets the standard. Data governance, validation, reporting and system integration all need to evolve, and you will have the scope to shape how this is delivered.
This will suit someone already operating in a Database Administrator focused role who is comfortable owning systems end to end.
You will bring:
If this sounds worth exploring, apply now or start with a confidential discussion.
Unfortunately, MPI are only able to consider people with appropriate and relevant experience, and who are either Australian Permanent Residents or have the necessary permits to work in Australia and whom are currently in Australia.
