Maintenance Superintendent

This is a Maintenance Superintendent role working across multiple Australian operations, leading maintenance across both mobile and fixed plant within a mining services environment focused on blasting and explosives.

It’s an established setup, but with enough variation across sites to give you real scope to improve how things are done and make your mark on performance.

You’ll enjoy this if you:
  • Like improving systems rather than maintaining the status quo
  • Want to have a visible impact on reliability and downtime
  • Prefer a role where you can influence across sites, not just sit on one
  • Are comfortable making decisions and keeping things moving
  • Enjoy seeing the results of better planning and smarter maintenance over time
  • You’ll be stepping into a role where you can shape how maintenance is executed - from planning and scheduling through to reliability initiatives and performance improvement.
To step into it, you’ll bring:
  • Experience leading maintenance teams in mining, resources, or heavy industry
  • Strong grounding in mobile and/or fixed plant
  • Confidence across planning, shutdowns, and day-to-day execution
  • A track record of improving availability and performance
  • A practical, get-things-done approach
  • This role is based in Dysart and is Monday to Friday (DIDO) with accommodation provided.
If you’re looking for something very structured and steady, this might not be it. But if you prefer having the scope to improve things and actually influence outcomes, it’s worth a conversation.

Unfortunately, MPI are only able to consider people with appropriate and relevant experience, and who are either Australian Permanent Residents or have the necessary permits to work in Australia and are currently in Australia.
