Maintenance Planner
You’ll support the planning function across a fixed plant operation — focusing on weekly planning, backlog management, and making sure work is properly prepared before execution.
This isn’t just scheduling. You’ll be coordinating materials, building work packs, and working closely with supervisors to ensure jobs are ready to go.
It’s also not a desk-only role. You’ll be out in the field validating scopes, checking requirements, and making sure what’s planned actually reflects what’s happening on site.
You’ll work closely with the Senior Planner, who owns shutdowns, while you keep weekly maintenance planning structured and on track.

You’ll be stepping into a role where the structure is already in place — your focus is keeping the weekly planning running smoothly and supporting shutdown delivery. Roster is 8/6 FIFO Monday to Monday.
Unfortunately, MPI are only able to consider people with appropriate and relevant experience, and who are either Australian Permanent Residents or have the necessary permits to work in Australia and who are currently based in Australia.

- Prefers structure but knows how to adapt when priorities shift
- Is comfortable working between the system and the field
- Can support supervisors and keep work moving without overcomplicating it.
You’ll bring:
- Strong maintenance planning experience in a fixed plant environment
- 5–10 years’ experience using Pronto and Microsoft Project
- Experience building work packs, planning materials, and managing weekly schedules
- Exposure to shutdown support and coordination
- A trade base or strong technical understanding.
