Core Logging Geologist
If you're an experienced Core Logger looking for a 6-month FIFO contract, this role offers the opportunity to work within a busy underground gold operation, logging 250 to 300 metres of diamond core per day.
Working on a 14/7 roster from Perth, you'll join an established geology team supporting multiple underground diamond rigs. Your focus will be lithological, alteration and structural logging, core orientation, metre marking, sample markup, and geological data entry using Acquire.
You'll be responsible for logging all core produced in the previous 24 hours while maintaining accurate geological records and adhering to established logging and sampling procedures. With significant daily core volumes and strong structural exposure, this role is well suited to geologists who enjoy detailed diamond core logging and working in a production-focused gold mining environment.

To be successful, you'll have:
- A degree in geology
- Previous diamond core logging experience (preferably in gold)
- Strong structural logging experience
- Experience with metre marking and core orientation
- Well-developed observational and recording skills
- Experience using geological databases, preferably Acquire
- The ability to accurately log 250 to 300m of core per day.
