Exploration Geologist

Not every contract gives you ownership of the entire drilling program. This one does.

We're seeking an experienced RC Rig Geologist to supervise a 6,000m nickel laterite drilling program commencing in August.

Working alongside a dedicated field technician, you'll take responsibility for rig supervision, sample quality, geological logging and ensuring drilling activities are completed safely and efficiently. This is a straightforward program with one RC rig, established support on site and clear objectives.

You'll be given the autonomy to manage the day-to-day geology while remaining supported by an experienced, but lean, exploration team. Accommodation is provided in an established exploration camp, with meals prepared on site.

This opportunity offers the chance to work on a significant critical minerals exploration project with a focused drilling scope. The program is expected to run for approximately 4-6 weeks and is ideally suited to someone who enjoys being hands-on, making decisions and staying close to the drilling.

You'll bring:

  • Previous RC rig geology experience
  • Strong logging and sampling QAQC skills
  • A sound understanding of drilling safety
  • Remote exploration experience.

If you're available from early August and enjoy running RC programs with autonomy and solid field support, we'd like to hear from you.

Unfortunately, MPI are only able to consider people with appropriate and relevant experience, and who are either Australian Permanent Residents or have the necessary permits to work in Australia and whom are currently in Australia.
