Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Underground

We are exclusively partnering with one of our premier mining clients to find a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, who is ready to take on a key role in the start-up of a new underground mine.
The successful candidate will play an integral role in shaping geotechnical strategy, managing ground control risk and influencing project outcomes from an early stage of development.
Reporting to the Manager of Group Projects, you will work closely with executive leadership, a Corporate Geotechnical Engineer and an external geotechnical consultancy that provides regular site support.

What's on Offer:
- Lead the geotechnical function for a new underground mining operation and grow your team
- Provide technical leadership across mine development, ground support and geotechnical risk management
- Significant pipeline of future underground and open pit projects
- FIFO roster 8:6 or 4:3
- Approximately 1-2 days per month based in the Perth office.
About You:
You will be an experienced geotechnical professional looking for a role where you can have influence on project outcomes and operational performance.
- Strong geotechnical engineering experience within underground mining environments
- Experience in ground control management, mine design and geotechnical risk assessment
- The ability to work autonomously while engaging effectively with operational and technical stakeholders
- A practical and solutions-focused approach to mine development challenges.
