Autonomous Haulage System Specialist
Staying busy isn’t the same as advancing technical mastery in autonomous systems.
This role delivers hands-on progression for experienced fleet controllers and builders ready to deepen expertise in MineStar, virtual mine modelling, and control room operations while directly lifting team performance.
You will enter as a subject matter expert. Initial focus requires full assessment and immersion in site-specific AHS Primary Controller and Builder duties. Perform the roles to internalise systems, processes, and open-pit practices. Share deep operational knowledge with existing trainers and teams to maintain continuity and support training delivery.
Once established, shift to capability building. Develop AHS Control Room personnel through advanced autonomous fleet management, MineStar system optimisation, and industry-leading virtual mine model building techniques. Maximise Daily Mine Plan execution and operational output. Deliver targeted coaching and upskilling to individual operators where efficiency gaps exist. Provide ongoing SME support to trainers without assuming official crew trainer status.

- Deliver subject matter expertise in autonomous fleet management, MineStar mine model management, control room operations, and competency development using Caterpillar Command for Hauling
- Build advanced skills in control room teams via best-practice fleet management, system utilisation, and virtual modelling
- Execute Controller and Office Builder duties as required for operational support, coaching, and practical training
- Identify and close knowledge gaps to raise overall team efficiency and system performance.

- Even-time 7:7 roster (dayshift/nightshift) in major Western Australian mining region
