Exploration Geologist
If you're looking for more time around drill rigs and less time waiting for the next campaign to start, this role offers exactly that. With multiple drilling programs underway and work scheduled through at least December, you'll get the kind of hands-on experience that helps build a strong exploration career.
You'll join a busy exploration team working across active gold projects in WA, with AC, RC and diamond drilling programs running simultaneously. This is a role for a geologist with around two or more years of experience who wants to broaden their skills and take on more responsibility in the field.
You'll be involved in all aspects of exploration drilling, including logging, sampling, QAQC, contractor management and day-to-day drill program support. Rather than being confined to a narrow scope, you'll gain exposure to multiple projects, different drilling methods and a variety of geological challenges.
The roster is 15 days on, 13 days off FIFO from Perth, with mid-week travel and established accommodation provided. You'll work alongside experienced geologists in a supportive environment where you'll be given the opportunity to learn, contribute and continue developing your technical capability.
You'll also gain experience using Micromine, Leapfrog and PeopleTray. It's a good environment for someone who wants to strengthen both their technical and practical exploration skills.
The company behind this role is a well-funded explorer with an active pipeline of work and a clear focus on advancing projects through drilling. They offer a practical, down-to-earth culture where geologists are trusted to do their job without unnecessary layers of process or bureaucracy.
To be considered, you'll need:
If you're ready for a role with genuine drilling exposure, strong development opportunities and the chance to work on active exploration programs, apply now or get in touch for a confidential discussion.
Unfortunately, MPI are only able to consider people with appropriate and relevant experience, and who are either Australian Permanent Residents or have the necessary permits to work in Australia and whom are currently in Australia.
