Mine Geologist

Ready for more than routine grade control?

If you've built a solid foundation in mine geology and are looking for a role that will expand your technical capability, increase your responsibility and expose you to the broader mining cycle, this opportunity is worth considering.

Joining a growing geology team on a FIFO 15/13 roster into the Northern Territory, you'll have the opportunity to contribute during an exciting phase of growth. As the team expands, you'll gain broad exposure across production geology activities while working alongside experienced professionals who are invested in developing capability and building a high-performing geology function.

This role suits someone who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with operational teams and developing a deeper understanding of how geology influences mining performance. You'll be involved in activities including grade control, ore delineation, geological interpretation and reconciliation, building skills that will support your future career progression.

You'll be joining a team that values collaboration, practical problem-solving and continuous improvement. It's an environment where initiative is recognised, ideas are welcomed and geologists are encouraged to take ownership of their work. As the operation grows, there will be opportunities to further develop your technical capability and expand your responsibilities.

What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor of Geology, Earth Sciences or related discipline
  • 2-5 years' mine geology experience (preferably in gold)
  • Experience with grade control, geological logging and sampling
  • Exposure to geological databases and reporting systems
  • Proficiency in Leapfrog, Deswik and Microsoft Office preferred.
If you're looking for a role that will continue to challenge and develop you while providing a clear pathway for future growth, we'd love to hear from you.

Unfortunately, MPI Recruitment are only able to consider candidates with appropriate and relevant experience who are Australian Permanent Residents or hold valid Australian working rights.
