Graduate Geologist

The fastest way to become a capable mine geologist is to learn from people who already are.

This opportunity is designed for graduates who want more than just a foot in the door. You'll join an experienced geology team where learning, development and mentoring are part of everyday life.

From your first swing, you'll be involved in real operational geology activities, including sampling, logging, mapping, database management and field-based geology work. You'll gain hands-on exposure to how geological information supports mining decisions and contributes to production outcomes.

You'll be supported by experienced geologists who are invested in helping graduates grow their confidence, technical skills and industry knowledge. Rather than being confined to a narrow scope, you'll build a broad understanding of mine geology and operational processes.

With a FIFO 15:13 roster into NT and a clear pathway for professional development, this role provides an excellent starting point for a long-term career in mining.

What you'll bring:

  • Degree qualification in Geology, Earth Sciences or related discipline
  • Up to 2 years' industry experience
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Desire to learn and develop within production geology
  • Willingness to work in a remote FIFO environment

If you're looking for a role where you'll be supported, challenged and developed from day one, we'd love to hear from you.

Unfortunately, MPI Recruitment can only consider applicants with relevant qualifications and experience who are Australian Permanent Residents or hold valid working rights for Australia.
