Senior Geotechnical Engineer
The opportunity:

Located within the highly prospective Tennant Creek Mineral Field, this opportunity sits with one of Australia's growing gold producers, focused on developing and operating high-quality gold assets in the Northern Territory.
Working closely with Technical Services and Operations, you'll provide geotechnical expertise across mine planning and operational activities, supporting safe, efficient and sustainable mining outcomes during a key phase of growth.
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will provide geotechnical support across mining operations, ensuring geotechnical risks are identified, monitored and managed effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct slope stability assessments and geotechnical investigations
- Develop and maintain ground control management plans
- Assess geotechnical risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Support mine planning and operational decision-making with geotechnical advice
- Develop geotechnical design recommendations and monitoring programs
- Analyse monitoring data and provide technical recommendations
- Work closely with operational and technical teams to support safe mining outcomes.
- FIFO 15/13 roster into NT
- Single-room ensuite accommodation
- Exposure to both open pit operations and underground development activities
- Key role supporting geotechnical risk management and operational decision-making
- Exposure to slope stability, ground control, monitoring and geotechnical investigations
- Long-life mining operation with ongoing growth and exploration potential.
- Bachelor of Engineering (Geotechnical, Geological or Mining Engineering) or equivalent recognised engineering qualification
- Minimum 8 years' experience as a Geotechnical Engineer within mining operations, with experience gained across surface, underground, or a combination of both mining environments
- Strong understanding of rock mechanics, slope design and geotechnical risk management
- Experience developing monitoring programs and geotechnical recommendations
- Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software, Deswik and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Current Australian C class driver's licence
- National police clearance issued within the last six months
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
