Scheduling Engineer

If you're looking for a role where you simply maintain a schedule and fly under the radar... this isn't it.

We've partnered exclusively with one of Australia's fastest-growing gold producers. An owner-operator with multiple producing assets, brownfields developments and a substantial exploration portfolio. Growth isn't a future aspiration here; it's happening right now.

They don't need someone to simply update schedules. They need a technically capable Scheduling Engineer who can think ahead, collaborate with operations and build practical mine plans that keep underground production moving safely and efficiently.

WHY THIS ROLE OVER EVERY OTHER CALL YOU'VE HAD THIS WEEK?

Career Acceleration
As new projects and mine areas come online, opportunities naturally emerge. Engineers who perform well are recognised and given the chance to take on greater responsibility and progress their careers.

Technical Variety
You'll gain exposure to multiple mining challenges, infrastructure projects and planning scenarios that will rapidly expand your technical capability.

No Corporate Layers
You'll work closely with Operations, Geology, Technical Services and senior site leadership. Good ideas get discussed, challenged and implemented rather than buried in endless approval processes.

THE TECHNICAL FOCUS
Reporting to the Senior Planning Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering and maintaining the underground 3-Month Schedule (3MS) and supporting the successful execution of mining activities.

Responsibility snapshot:
  • Developing monthly underground 3MS schedules
  • Planning and sequencing underground mining activities to achieve production targets
  • Tracking schedule performance and mine plan compliance
  • Planning underground infrastructure and related projects
  • Working closely with Underground Operations to optimise mining activities
  • Supporting and mentoring Short-Term Planning Engineers.

THIS PROBABLY ISN'T FOR YOU IF
  • You prefer highly structured environments where change rarely happens
  • You want to focus on a single asset with limited exposure to broader mining activities
  • You aren't comfortable working in a fast-paced operation where priorities can shift to maximise business outcomes.

THE REWARDS
  • Attractive site-based remuneration package
  • Long-term career stability with a growing owner-operator
  • Exposure to multiple assets and development projects
  • Direct access to decision-makers and operational leaders
  • Ongoing professional development and advancement opportunities.

WHAT YOU'RE BRINGING
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering
  • Current WA C-class driver's licence
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in underground mine planning and scheduling
  • Experience using Deswik CAD, Deswik Scheduler and Deswik Ops
  • A proactive mindset and commitment to safety, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
