Exploration Geologist
Some exploration roles spend more time planning drilling than actually drilling. This isn't one of them.
An established gold project is gearing up for a busy period of exploration, with an RC rig arriving in late September and additional RC, AC and diamond drilling planned for 2027. You'll be joining a team where field geology remains the focus and drilling activity is expected to increase as new targets move into testing.
This initial three-month contract offers the opportunity to gain exposure across multiple gold targets while working a family-friendly 7/7 FIFO roster from Perth. You'll spend your time close to the drill rigs, working with experienced exploration professionals and contributing to programs designed to grow and refine a substantial gold inventory.
The broader operation combines established infrastructure with significant exploration upside and a long pipeline of targets still to be tested. Exploration remains a key focus, with numerous opportunities to contribute to target development and resource growth across the wider project area.
This role will suit someone who enjoys being in the field, working with drilling data and building their understanding of gold systems through hands-on exploration. You'll be supported by senior technical personnel while maintaining ownership of your work and geological observations.
Requirements:
- Previous gold exploration experience
- Experience with RC, AC, and Diamond Drilling
- Logging and sampling experience
- Strong attention to geological detail
- Current Australian work rights.
If you'd like to be part of an active gold exploration program with plenty of drilling ahead and the potential for ongoing work, we'd be keen to hear from you.
Unfortunately, MPI Recruitment can only consider applicants with relevant qualifications and experience who are Australian Permanent Residents or hold valid working rights for Australia.
